After three attempts to "upgrade" my notebook and failed, I threw in the towel and went for a clean install. So far almost everything works, but Vista is very limited, reading these posts tells me there are virtually no drivers out there and my old software will not load. I have a Synaptics Touchpad and Visat sees it as an MS Mouse. It is REAL touchy and windows scroll all over the place, even adjusting the mouse setting does not help. I cannoy find a driver. This Beta is for casual Interest ONLY, not ready to do any work on.
I find the last few MS Betas were far from ready for general use or even expert use in the real world, i.e. IE Betas

If you install the synaptics driver now it will install. If it does not just update the driver to generic ps2 mouse then run the synaptics driver install ...a note the touchpad may not work at all after you install the generic driver but will after you install the synaptics driver.
